Mental Health Issues- Issue 1

Depression is a disease, that affects a lot of people from a lot of different walks of life. There are so many different kinds of depression and depressive disorders that plague some many people. I am going to be doing a "series"(so to speak) about different kinds of mental health issues. Depression, bi-polar, borderline personality disorder(BPD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD), Manic, Post-Partum Depression/OCD, etc. I will be informing people of the different kinds of symptoms, treatments, self-help, etc.

Being someone who has suffered from PTSD, BPD, and ADHD, I can definitely relate to all sorts of different issues and walks of life. I want to try to be as helpful as possible as I have been helped. I am going to be brutally honest and as truthful as I know how to be. I will be using my own experiences, other peoples experiences and the web to help me, help you.

Depression doesn't have to ruin your life. Learning to live, cope, and grow with these disease is a vital and extremely important part of every one's lives. Everyone will experience depression at one point or another in life. It's when the depression doesn't go away that it becomes an issue that many people face. We, as a country and as people, need to make sure that we put more effort into working on this extremely important disease.

Hysterectomy

This is going to be a blog about hysterectomies, which is the surgery I will be having on February 16th.

Hysterectomy is defined as the surgical removal of the uterus or womb. There are a few different kinds of hysterectomies that a women can have. There is a total that is removing the whole of the uterus (womb) and the cervix; or a sub-total, that is removing the uterus or womb but leaving the cervix intact. In addition to the hysterectomy, the ovaries and the fallopian tubes may also be removed this is called a hysterectomy with bi-lateral salpingo oophorectomy.

The most common way is to remove the uterus through a cut in the lower abdomen, the second, less common, way is to remove the uterus only through a cut in the top of the vagina, the top of vagina is then stitched. Each operation lasts between one to two hours and is performed, in hospital, normally under a general anesthetic.

There are a few different ways of doing this surgery.
Abdominal
In an abdominal hysterectomy, the uterus is removed through a surgical incision about 6-8 inches long. This is most commonly used when the ovaries and fallopian tubes are being removed, when the uterus is enlarged and when disease has spread to the pelvic cavity as in endometriosis or cancer. The main surgical incision can be made either vertically or horizontally. A vertical incision will run from about your navel down to your pubic bone. Since this incision provides more room, it is preferred when exploration of surrounding tissue may be necessary, such as in cases where cancer is a possibility, or where there is a previous scar. The horizontal or 'bikini' cut runs along the top of the pubic hairline and is often used in cases of benign disease. It may also be favored for cosmetic reasons, since scarring is less visible. Recovery time is usually longer from this procedure because the incision is made abdominally.

Vaginal
This method, where the uterus us removed through the vaginal opening, is most often used in cases of uterine prolapse or when vaginal repairs are necessary for related conditions. The vaginal is stretched and kept open by special instruments and no external incision is made. Since there is no abdominal incision, vaginal hysterectomy leaves no visible scarring and often involves a shorter hospital stay and a quicker recovery time. This method can affect sexual function because the vaginal may be shortened or tightened during surgery, this can lead to uncomfortable intercourse.

Laparoscopically assisted Vaginal
This procedure is performed with the aid of a laparoscope. Thin tubes are inserted through tiny incisions in the abdomen near the navel. The uterus is then cut and removed in sections through the scoping tube or through the vagina. Although this method can take longer to perform, there is usually a shortened period of recovery in the hospital.

The reasons for this surgery vary, some more "serious" than others.
CANCER OF THE UTERUS OR OVARY, FIBROIDS, ENDOMETRIOSIS, PROLAPSE, PELVIC ADHESIONS, UNUSUALLY HEAVY BLEEDING, PELVIC PAIN, among others.
There are risks and benefits but for most women the benefits outweigh the risks.
Some Complications That May Occur
Sometimes after surgery there can be some complications. Being aware of them can help you with preventing them from happening. Some things to watch out for are:
1.Infection-Most infections can be treated successfully with antibiotics, but some infections can be severe. Many surgeons now order antibiotics routinely before surgery. It is also important after surgery to not place anything in the vagina for at least the first 4 weeks. This includes intercourse, tampons, douching, swimming, and baths.
2.Urinary tract complications-Almost half of the women who have hysterectomies will have a kidney or bladder infection following surgery. In most cases the problem is not serious. In a radical hysterectomy, sensory nerves may be cut (sometimes unnecessarily) and women can lose both the sensation of having to urinate and control over bladder functions.
3.Hemorrhage-More than one in ten women require transfusions, some due to undetected preexisting anemia.
Some possible risks after are sexuality, emotional effects, etc.

So there you have it... Some info on hysterectomies.

Methods
The scariest part is that you can google painless suicide methods. That is some bullshit but I am going to post some of the ways that I found that are popular, etc.
The 10 most popular ways to commit suicide
10. Drowning
9. Electric Shock
8. Cutting throat or wrist
7. Jumping
6. Suffocation
5. Carbon Monoxide Inhalation
4. Poisoning
3. Hanging
2. Drug / Alcohol Overdose
1. Gun Shot

I am currently looking at a site that tells you "cool ways to kill yourself" and it gives you difficult levels and exactly now to do. This is so crazy.

These following couple are from one site-

*Explosives Strapped to Your Body Difficulty level: 7 - I think that this one explains itself

*Falling through Chain Saws Difficulty level: 10- Again, I think this one explains itself

*Bullet in Your Head Difficulty level: 1- I think this one also explains itself.

*Death by Hairball Difficulty level: 3- Get a cat or a dog and brush it every day. Save the hair until you have a giant hairball. Plug up your nose then shove the hairball into your mouth.

*Meat Grinder Difficulty level: 11- You get into a meat grinder at night while the place is closed and make sure to setup a camera and make sure to mail the company a letter telling them where the camera is. In the morning it will go on and they will never know.

*Drown in Your Own Urine Difficulty level: 8- Get a huge vat or possibly an above ground pool. Save all your urine. Drown yourself in it. Put a note on the side of the pool saying, "MY URINE." This method would work for any body fluid: vomit, snot, shit or even sperm.

*Plug 'Em Up Difficulty level: -1- Get a lot of ten-ton epoxy to seal any and all body openings. Wait a while. Explode.

Poisons

Cyanide- Hydrocyanic acid is one of the most poisonous substances known; the inhalation of its fumes in high concentration will cause almost immediate death. Hydrogen cyanide acts by preventing the normal process of tissue oxidation and paralyzing the respiratory center in the brain.
*Aspirin- Take a lot of it. 20-30+ grams. Death could take hours or days.
*Acetaminophen aka Ibuprofen- 15-20+ grams. 10 hours until fatal damage, 2 weeks to die.
*Sleeping Pills
*Alcohol- about a 1/2 liter of Vodka but it varies depending on person. About 8 hours but it is not too reliable.
*Water(Yes, water)-Gallons, more than 5. 12 hours or so. Not reliable.
*Bleach and others corrosives- A bottle. Hours to days. Uncertain how reliable. Painfully. Your stomach gets corroded and the stomach and bleach acids eat away at vital organs.
*Insulin- Not sure how much but a very high dose. Most likely go into coma. Very likely to work as long as high dose is used.
*Petrol- About 20-30ml. Seconds to minutes. Can also use propane, instead. Put your hand in a bottle of the propane and see how long you can stay alive.
*Insecticide- A few bottles. 2 to 3 hours. Not reliable at all.
*Phosphine gas from aluminum phosphide pesticide (ALP)- A single 3 gram tablet is enough to kill 10 people. About 2 hours. This is very difficult to get your hands on.
*Carbon Monoxide- 5% concentration or so. Minutes to hours depending on concentration. Fairly reliable as long as you are rescued.
*Nitrogen Gas- Several liters uncompressed is necessary as a minimum. Minutes. Certain to be fatal.
*Atropine(Deadly Nightshade... yes like in Nightmare Before Christmas)- In young children about 5 berries... In adult more than 30. 6 to 24 hours.
*Aconitine- A few grams. 10 mins to a few hours.
*Nicotine- 100g of Tobacco, 40-60mg pure. Several hours, coma make set in, in a few hours.
*Cocaine-1 ounce. 2 to 3 hours.
*There are a lot more but I picked the once that people would most likely know of.

Complete Exsanguination

You will need: A sharp object. Razors, scissors, broken glass, or biting criticism all work, a rafter or other high support, a rope

  1. Using the rope, tie your ankles together so that you are hanging from the rafters in a head-down posture.
  2. Grasp the sharp object in your hand, and draw it swiftly across your neck. Be sure to cut deep enough so that you get all four major blood vessels.
  3. Make a puddle on the floor. Or use a bucket for the Red Cross.
  4. Admire your handiwork.

Extreme Sexual Exhaustion

What you need: Viagra, Whores, A Bed

  1. First you will need to withdraw your lifesavings (like you'll need it anyway) and run into the Pharmacy/Whorehouse. Aka, Walmart.
  2. Once you've acquired your large horde of women- take some time into selecting a perfect bed. Temperpedic is for the slow-go, while the spring mattresses will provide more bang for your buck.
  3. Once you've picked you bed, take the ENTIRE bottle of Viagra.
  4. Start fucking. Do NOT stop until your heart has exploded.

Pain Killers is one of the leading killers. Take anywhere from half a bottle to a bottle and you sleep and never wake up again.

Some of these are silly, some of strange, some most likely don't work but there they are. Don't forget suicide is NEVER the answer. NEVER.

Additionally, here are some numbers to call, if you feel suicidal:

United States: 1-800-suicide

United States: 1-800-273-TALK (National Suicide Prevention Hotline)
United States (Spanish): 1-888-628-9454
United Kingdom: 08457 90 90 90 (Samaritans)
Republic of Ireland: 1850 60 90 90 (Samaritans)

The gruesome part is down here.... DO NOT scroll down if you have a weak stomach.

Gunshot to the head.........

The top 2 are slit wrist and the bottom is a man who hung himself.

Torture Methods and Devices

I got a request to do a blog about the worst torture methods. And so, this is going to be a blog about just that. All kinds of torture from psychological to physical and of course torture devices. So have as much fun read as I did look up and writing about this topic.

Psychological torture can be just as bad if not worse than physical. Because they not only go after your mind but your emotions and soul as well. I am going to start with psychological methods of torture because for me, I feel that would be the absolutely worst kind.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE METHODS- PRESENT AND PAST
*Blackmail is a form of psychological torture. Now granted its not to extreme BUT it can definitely cause a great deal of damage to someone's life, rep, and well, pretty much everything and anything that has to do with them.
*Exploitation of phobias is when they use something that you are very much afraid of and use it against you. Such as, if you are afraid of spiders, they would fill the room with spiders, leave and lock the door behind them.
*Extended sleep deprivation is when they pretty much keep your ass up for a very long time. Days, weeks, and sometimes even months. You think this won't be that hard but honestly thing what being up for 24 hours does to you. Then multiply that by 7 and that is just a mere week. *Extended solitary confinement is when they leave you in a room by yourself for weeks and weeks on end. Noone to talk too. Nothing. And while it might be nice to be away from everything and everyone for a few days. Eventually it is enough to have you talking to walls, floors, and people who don't even exist.

Physical Torture Methods- Present and Past
Most of these can explain themselves. I will however write a little something next to certain ones but I don't feel the need to write something next to all of them. Be warned that some of these are disgusting, brutal, and deadly.

Beating, Binding/Contortion, Blinding, Water (Freezing/Burning.Drowning), Breaking Bones, Castration, Cutting... Denailing- That's where they pull your nails out of your fingers and toes using tools that can detach them from your skin in mere seconds.
Use Electricity, Fire, Forced-Feeding, Genital mutilation, Limb removal, Oxygen Deprivation, Sexual Assualt/Rape, Sensory Deprivation, Sound( loud, extremely high volumes, explosives, etc.), Starvation, Stress Positions, Tickling.

These are some ones that are of all time top...
*Keelhauling-Tied to a rope and pulley, the victim is dragged back and forth underneath the ship. So much sharp errata under the boat rubs their naked flesh raw, but drowning should come to save the victim rather quickly.
*
Rat Torture- Put rats under a bucket and they put the bucket onto the flesh of a person(usually the stomach or back.) Then, heat up the exposed end of the bucket as to annoy the rats. And to escape the rats with burrow through the exposed flesh of the human.
*
Crocodile Shears- are just how they sound; two iron-cast sides of a tube, the insides of which feature rows of spikes which are then heated by the torturer and placed on certain appendages.
*Scaphism-The victim is tied naked to a boat, face up. They would have already been force-fed enough milk and honey to induce severe diarrhea -- torturous enough -- but it gets worse. Honey was then applied to areas like the groin and the armpits before the victim's vessel was set adrift in a stagnant pond. The diarrhea and the honey would attract insects, which fed off of the victim and eventually began to breed from within their flesh.
*Bent-up- The body is bent forward with the head hanging downward, the legs spread apart, and the arms are pulled up from behind.
*Riding an Airplane- This posture requires that one's head points downward, the back of the neck is against the wall, and the arms are raised with the hands touching the wall. Most people feel that their head will explode and cannot tolerate it for even ten minutes.

Torture Method Using Devices- Present and Past

*Heretic's Fork- One end of this device was pushed under the chin, the other into the sternum, with the strap securing this torture tool to the victim’s neck. Immobilized and in great pain, the victim will have to mouth off the Latin word “abiuro” (I recant), or they’ll end up being hanged or worse, burned at the stake.

*
Punishing Shoes- The shoes were often used in conjunction with the standing pillory (a device that holds your head and wrists in place while you stand). How long do you think you could stand on your tippy-toes before you had to rest your heels on those iron spikes?

*
Cat's Paw- This was simply used to slowly tear the flesh from its victim, often times all the way down to the bone.

*
The Head Crusher- If ever an explanation was in a name, the head crusher is it. Death by head crusher usually went something like this: the teeth imploded into their sockets and smashed the surrounding jaw bones. Then the eyes squirted from their sockets and finally, brain matter squirted from the ears. Unbelievably, many nations still use a version of the head crusher to this very day as an interrogation tool.

*
Judas Cradle- The victim was hoisted above the pyramid and slowly lowered, crotch first, onto its sharpened pinnacle. Hinging on the torturers mood, he could vary the amount of the victim's body weight applied to the point.

*The Cradle-
The Cradle is the nastier second cousin to the Judas Cradle. We believe the picture does all the explaining for us.

*Iron Maiden-
The following is a depiction of the first recorded use of the Iron Maiden on August 14, 1515 : "A forger of coins was placed inside, and the doors shut slowly, so that the very sharp points penetrated his arms and legs in several places, and his belly and chest, and his bladder and the root of his member, and his eyes, and his shoulders, and his buttocks, but not enough to kill him; and so, he remained making great cry and lament for two days, after which he died."

*Impalement-
This was the standard form of punishment for traitors in Algiers, Tunis, Tripoli and Salee during the Middle Ages. Believe it or not, once the lengthy spike entered the victim's posterior and exited their mouth or throat, the victim might live for more than a day in this state and was left to crawl in the dirt for all to watch.

*Two man saw- The two-man saw involves the victim naked and strung upside-down by his heels with his arms strapped behind him. Two torturers then assumed each side of a large saw placed between the naked victim's legs and then begin to saw through your torso. With the blood in your body gathering in your head and torso, consciousness could presumably be sustained until the saw reaches the victim's heart.

*Breaking with The Wheel-
In terms of frequency used, the wheel was second only to hanging as the most common form of execution in Germany during the Middle Ages. First, the victim (usually naked) had each of his limbs spread apart and tied to the ground. However, wooden crosspieces were placed under each major joint such as the wrists, ankles, knees, hips and shoulders. The torturer would then smash each limb and joint with the heavy, iron-enhanced wheel. But that was just the beginning of the nightmare. Once the limbs were reduced to gelatinous appendages of mashed bones, blood and flesh, each arm and leg was braided into the spokes of the wheel and then hoisted upright for display. The agonizing victim would remain in this position for days as crows and insects feasted on him or her until death.

*The Pope's Pear-A woman who slept with Satan would find the pear end in her vagina, a man who slept with another man would find it in his anus, and a heretic, in his mouth. Once inside, the torturer would then turn the handle to expand the pear, which blossomed like a flower with three mutilating, razor-sharp petals.

And there you have it. Torture methods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speak up and be heard, it's your life!

Most of us have said at least once, why do bad things happen to good people? We go through this life and we constantly wonder why things don't go the way we want them to, sometimes no matter how hard we try. It really gets us down and gives us second thoughts on our lifestyles and perspectives. I've noticed for a long time that the bad things don't just happen to the good people... it happens to the people who are silent and nice and keep to themselves.

Speak your mind!! If someone is wrong, I don't care how much power they have over you, say something. If you order food and it doesn't come out right, let them now. Money is hard to come by these days, so shouldn't you get your money's worth? you don't need to be aggressive and threaten to put someone to shame if you don't get what you want. You can be polite, but when it starts to look like your services are getting pushy with you, then push right back. It's a way to think about it, but you can even threaten them. When I mean threaten, however, I mean threaten to tell everyone to watch out for their company, not to make them sorry. Don't be quiet, be outspoken.

Everyone has a place in this world and YOU deserve to be treated with respect. You have to be assertive and being assertive does in fact get you farther. The reason, people can not walk all over you. Stand up for what you believe in. And if you happen to be a nervous or quiet person, it may be harder, but try doing something different. If something offenses you, pisses you off, annoys you. Stand up, whether you sing or dance or yell, kick shit, etc. Make sure to express yourself.

It might make you nervous or uneasy but everyone has power over their own lives and somewhat over others. You can make a difference and your difference can make a big change in the world and in life.

No matter what do not let anyone walk all over you. Do not let others take over the course your life is on. Be who you want to be and don't let anyone else tell you differently.
